A big Audubon thank you goes out to Mark Ports for his very informative presentation on Mountain Snail Island Biogeography in the Great Basin and Beyond.   Mark, in his roughly twenty-five years of research on distribution, morphology and genetics of the genus Oreohelix has greatly expanded our understanding of and appreciation for these animals, endemic to the limestone and quartzite mountain ranges of the central Great Basin.
